KOUMARIA TREE HONEY (AUTUMNAL)
A rare and special honey! It is a honey of very high nutritional value and is one of the best options to stimulate the body. It has a characteristically strong, very full of sour taste with aromatic notes of bitter caramel. It is harvested towards the end of autumn if weather permits and differs from the harvested spring (more bitter) harvest. Koumari Honey is collected from the gorges and overgrown slopes of Mount Parnonas in the Southeast Peloponnese at an altitude of 200 meters. - 800m. It is collected both from nectar secretions of spring Kumar (Arbutus Unedo) from April to early May and towards late autumn if weather permits. It is a rare and special honey of high nutritional value and is (like the heather honey) one of the best options to stimulate the body. It has a characteristic very full of sour taste & strong with aromatic notes of bitter caramel that is appealing to demanding consumers, strong distinctive earthy aroma and a special dark bronze color while its crystallization is very fast (2-4 months after its collection).
