With a not too sweet taste and aroma that stands out is the most important bee plant in Greece. Collect from the pine forests of Arcadia in the Peloponnese and Evia at an altitude of 800 m. - 1300m. both in Spring (April - May) and in Autumn (September - October). The spring pineapple is lighter, clearer and more fragrant than the one produced in the fall. Due to its low glucose content, it crystallizes at a fairly slow rate (> 8 months). The nutritional value of Greek pineapple is based on the large number of different substances that coexist in its composition.
